On 10 March 2025, the Warugokushu Festival entered into an agreement with SMESCO Indonesia in Jakarta. With this, Wagufest has a basis in conducting the festival at the venue and date that has been determined, which is 30 - 31 August 2025. There are several agreements that are given more to Warugokushu Festival, and we are very receptive to this cooperation and open to further opportunities.
Some things that may be unique to Warugokushu Festival are agreements regarding the use of event time during the event day. The Warugokushu Festival team is committed to not only providing spectacular entertainment to visitors with stage/music performances, but Wagufest also wants to be a forum for MSMEs, especially those engaged in the arts and the like, to be able to showcase and even sell their works.
Learning from other events, of course the Warugokushu Festival team felt that there was a lot that could be improved, including on the issue of event time that could be tight and visitors could not have the experience to explore the art market and booths/tenants that exhibited many extraordinary works. This is what Warugokushu Festival also emphasised to the venue, SMESCO Indonesia.
With an understanding and vision to increase the opportunities for artists and booths, Warugokushu Festival plans to organise longer event times of up to 12 hours a day. Along with the customised schedule, it is hoped that visitors will not only come for the stage performances, but also for the creators' performances!
The Warugokushu Festival team also sees it from the circle's point of view, hopefully these various efforts will also allow the circles who open their booths/tenants to stay longer and can fill the extra time to exchange creations or visit other circles. Thus, Warugokushu Festival is committed to determining that there should be no forced closure of circles or art markets for certain scheduled events, unless it is time for the venue to close along with visitors who are also going home, and as long as it complies with applicable regulations.
The hope is that Warugokushu Festival will not only provide a place for visitors to have fun, but also as a momentum for artists or creators to be able to perform more in front of many people. Opening up new opportunities in the future! Of course, Warugokushu Festival is open to various inputs so that this festival can run smoothly and can be enjoyed by many people!
